HAF (Holiday Activities & Food)
HAF is the government funded Holiday Activity and Food Programme, which funds holiday spaces for children from low income families and in receipt of Free School Meals. The aim of the programme is to ensure that children get access to engaging activities, socialisation, and a free hot nutritious meal during school holidays.
Parents and children that are eligible come from varying backgrounds and include single parent households, parents who are working on low incomes, children with SEND and just generally families who are struggling with the cost of living. Seren Sports are passionate about providing access to their camps to children from all backgrounds as it provides an enriching and inclusive environment for all children to benefit (*chalkbeat.org).
Seren Sports is a non-judgmental environment where children and parent's should feel like they can approach us for support without fear.
Our Co-Director Hannah has her own story where she once relied on foodbanks, social housing, Free school meals and state support when her own children were much younger and she was a single parent whilst at University. She is passionate about supporting other parents and families who are struggling.

Seren Sports HAF offering
At Seren Sports we offer funded HAF places during the main school holidays (Easter, Summer & Christmas). These spaces receive the exact same service as private paying Seren Sports customers, except the meals package is free and part of a standard booking via the HAF booking system.
Every day will be funfilled with sports led by highly qualified coaches, and with plenty of SEN and wellbeing support resources used throughout the day.
We also incorporate “wow” sessions as much as possible whether they be specialised sport workshops led by exceptional coaches (Judo, fencing) or fun activities like inflatables and laser tag.
Our aim is for every child to have accessed a potentially new experience and had lots of fun whilst health and wellbeing underpinning it all.
